Good things come in threes
Dinner or a night out—why choose, after all? Offering both seasonal cuisine and an abundance of gin, Le Caulaincourt combines the culinary delights of a restaurant with the festive atmosphere of a bar. The highlight? Its decor, of course, featuring marble tables, tropical plants, and Adjamée cushions made from ethnic fabrics.
Spending time at Le Caulaincourt is a bit like enjoying the pleasant feeling of relaxing in a garden, surrounded by tropical plants and climbing ivy. In addition to its understated and elegant interior—featuring a glass roof, hardwood floors, marble, and wooden stools—the restaurant has emphasized contemporary décor: designer light bulbs, large mirrors, raw materials, and pendant lights with natural finishes.
It was actually quite fun to pair this understated style with our ethnic fabrics. Featuring all kinds of colors and patterns, the cushions from our Kenya and Ghana collections blend perfectly with the minimalist, natural decor of the Caulaincourt. Better yet, the cushions add a pop of color and liven up the interior.
At the helm of this new gem is the team from Le Distrait and Les Passerelles, recently joined by Sophie, who this time has entrusted the kitchen to Chef Julien Gasperi, formerly of Morton’s Club in London and the fine-dining restaurant Sergent Recruteur in Paris.
On the menu: praline-glazed leeks and chicken with morels… Nothing but fresh ingredients and countless creative ideas that change with the mood and the seasons.
Vibrant and colorful, the fabrics used for the cushions selected to decorate the Caulaincourt were discovered while browsing markets in Accra and Java. They are Wax and Kikhoï fabrics, iconic textiles in Africa. Their colors—warm and vibrant—are expressed in an infinite variety of unique and beautiful patterns, reflecting the rich diversity of cultures across the continent.
Available in square and rectangular shapes, Adjamée’s ethnic-style cushions tell a story above all else. All you have to do is sit back and listen to them...
