#4 Lakin Ogunbanwo, "Africa Now" at Galeries Lafayette!

This spring, Galeries Lafayette is celebrating Africa by showcasing several artists—selected by Marie Ann Yemsi—in its store windows.

Originally from Nigeria, he is known for his bold and provocative portraits. Drawing inspiration from fashion, he photographs men and women repurposing everyday objects, textiles, and urban environments typical of Lagos to showcase the African art scene in the window displays of Galeries Lafayette in Paris.

Other female artists are participating in the exhibition:

Damien, from the series NGL - Lago, 2015

And the parade, organized in partnership with the renownedMarché Noir, consists of five scenes that tell the story of contemporary Africa, all linked by a common theme: style!
