Adjamée for the Sunset
Custom interior design by Adjamée Concept for the Sunset restaurant, located at 100 Rue Ordener in Paris’s 18th arrondissement.
The project specifications: Before beginning this project, the Adjamée Concept team consulted with Guillaume and Caroline, the owners of the venue. Their goal was to transform the back room of the restaurant they had taken over. The hammered finish on the walls dates back to the previous owners, who had commissioned Architectes NeM to collaborate with painter Matthieu Cossé to create an industrial look within a colorful setting. The idea was to create a new, warm atmosphere while preserving the venue’s identity through custom decor.
Step 1: Painting. We decided to keep the textured finish on the walls and the paint on the ceiling. To harmonize the room’s colors and make it brighter, we repainted the walls—which were originally blue—in shades of beige. To avoid a look that was too “smooth,” we decided to add colorful shapes to these light-colored walls, while matching the existing shades.
Step 2: Seats and Backrests. Custom-made , the benches and chairs were upholstered in a stain-resistant midnight blue fabric (really practical for a restaurant!). As for the backrests, Caroline and Guillaume chose cushions from Adjamée’s Australia collection. We launched a special production run to create these custom-made cushions with unique finishes designed specifically for the Sunset. Custom-made benches were also crafted using select fabrics from the Australia collection, which pair perfectly with the seats.
Midnight blue seats and backrests in Adjamée’s signature colors have also been installed in the restaurant’s front dining room.

Step 3: The light fixtures. We replaced the existing light fixtures in the restaurant with pendant lights from Honoré Déco. To complete the custom decor of this restaurant, we chose lamps in various shapes and sizes while maintaining a certain harmony with the raffia, fringes, and tassels, creating interesting plays of light.

Step 4: The rug. Custom-made in India, this rug traveled a long way before it found its way onto the restaurant’s floor. We entrusted Maison S with the creation of this magnificent handmade rug. The idea was to play with shades of blue to give it a slightly weathered look—mission accomplished! Complementing the custom-made cushions and benches, the rug fits perfectly into the room.
Installing it was a whole different story: 4 meters by 5—enough to give the Adjamée Concept team a real workout.
Step 5: A Little Decor. To put the finishing touches on this space’s custom decor, the Adjamée Concept team chose cacti (spine-free—better for the customers), carefully recommended by Kaki. All we needed were some pretty planters to dress up these cacti. What could be better than making them yourself? So Adjamée used the “Australia” fabric to create its own planters—custom-made, once again!
